This summer, Encore! is bringing an English-language German premiere to the Berlin stage: the contemporary powerhouse that is Dear Evan Hansen.

An isolated and socially anxious teenager yearning to belong somewhere, Evan Hansen finds himself suddenly thrust into the spotlight when a letter he wrote, addressed to himself, is found in the possession of a fellow student who recently died by suicide. As a well-intentioned lie snowballs into something much bigger than himself, Evan becomes entangled in an ever-changing narrative that is simultaneously being broadcast across social media - technology acting as a central, driving force throughout this story and inviting us to examine our interpretation of reality.

Winning a whopping SIX Tony Awards in 2017, serving as a vehicle for the career launches of stars such as Ben Platt and Mike Faist, featuring an iconic score by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul including musical theatre stalwarts like 'Waving Through a Window' and 'You Will Be Found', you're gonna want to catch Encore's most ambitious show to date at the Centre Français de Berlin this July.
